Newfoundland Weather.  Although there are milder climates in Canada, the Newfoundland weather is neither as foggy nor rainy as many believe.  Newfoundland weather is milder than Toronto or Montreal in the the winter, and Newfoundland weather is also milder in the summer months than in Toronto or Montreal.  This means that summer weather conditions are ideal for hiking and that winter weather conditions are ideal for winter sports of all kinds.  Newfoundland lodging is often full, and it is best to make motel, lodging, and hotel reservations in advance.  Air travel is the lowest cost when purchased in advance, please see the air travel and airport links above.
